I wouldn't advise to use a raid setup for rootfs anyway. The most useful
thing you can probably do is to have a raid setup for /home or specific
The simplest way around it is to format and setup your rootfs on a small
partition, and then later, after installation, setup your raid for
/home. This avoids the need for an initrd as well.
