Sorry my bad. Instructions clearly say to download and use the *-installer.img.xz image.
I did download and try the clear-23600-installer.img this time.
However, the same symptoms appear. Unable to boot up after a flawless install. Greeted
with a blank screen and a blinking cursor in upper left hand corner.
This time, I did notice that although my BIOS recognized and allowed me to do an UEFI boot
on the USB clear-23600-installer media,
It did NOT recognize /dev/sda drive as UEFI after the install of Clear Linux , but instead
tried to boot up in non-UEFI mode.
I'm pretty sure ClearLinux will not boot up properly in non-UEFI mode.
Any ideas why this is happening? I pretty sure that LinuxMint and Ubuntu install some
sort of UEFI shim when doing an UEFI install.
Is there something similar that is needed for ClearLinux that the installer is not doing
As stated in previous email, this target machine on which I am trying to install
ClearLinux originally had Linux Mint 19 which was successfully booting up in UEFI mode.
I ran your clear-linux-check-config.sh script while it was booted up in Linux Mint 19 to
determine if the machine was compatible with ClearLinux.
See cut-and-pasted output below demonstrating this:

Thanks all for the prompt responses.
I tried again with clear-23590-installer.iso with the same results.
The installation went smoothly without error, but when it reboots I am looking at a blank
screen with a flashing cursor in the upper left corner.
Please let me know if you need any further information.
iso not img?
the iso is for kvm guests only afaik....
(we should really really rename it better to make that clear)
