Something to note, Python 2 is not required for the current tip of AOSP however for the
Android 10 releases they are. These are the latest releases. Android 11 should release
circa September this year.

this is a problem for us, we're basically jettisoning Python 2... adding more of it is
not a good idea.
(it's been 10 years. with several years of "it's really going away now"

Considering this doesn't contain AOSP itself, I think the bundle name
may be a bit confusing. What do you think of build-AOSP (I don't
really love that name so I'd take other suggestions)?

In packaging we generally use the -dev suffix to indicate the
components that the package ships (headers and the like). In Clear we
(and by we, I mean me X( ) sort of made this more confusing due to our
-dev bundles being the content needed to build whatever the suffix is
attached to, so in that respect the name is fine. I'm a little anxious
about the use of a project name like aosp which itself may be
something with dev components. That said I think that's fine for now
(I'll pay the rename price in the future if I'm wrong) so in it goes.
